Procedure: Excess skin and tissue is removed from the upper arm.
Length: 1 to 2 hours.
Anesthesia: General or Local
Side Effects: After surgery you will have moderate pain which can be managed with pain relief, you will also wear compression dressings within the first week.
Recovery: For the first week following surgery, strenuous activity should be avoided. Recovery usually takes one to two weeks, returning to work after one week and exercise after two.
